Oh My!

I managed to pull in 5K today!  It wasn’t all profit, I spent a fair bit too, but my banker is now carrying around 10K.  I was a bit worried at the weekend because he’d had to raid the guild bank to buy 2 stacks of Frost Lotus that come on at 41G per herb.  I was down to my last couple of K gold and thinking that I couldn’t spend any more on anything.   Thankfully I got very lucky with the elixir proc; I had one that produced 10 flasks!  I had the mats for 80 flasks and ended up with 116 which all sold for between 32G -  35G.  The money also started rolling in from the saronite shuffle plus my big bank garage sale produced quite a bit too.

In addition to that I followed up this tip and and in around an hour I had 10 eternal fire.  The drop rate can seem patchy because some of the mobs are level 79 and have a 35% drop rate and the others are level 80 and have a 45% drop rate.   The lower level mobs drop their crystallised fire 1 at a time and the others drop 2 at a time.  The mobs respawn very quickly and I haven’t seen anyone else there so far.  I’ve been up twice now and both trips it took me roughly an hour to get 10 eternal fire.  I also got several greens and a lot of vendor trash.  Make sure you have plenty of bag because it’s worth selling; both times I got 90G+ from the vendor trash alone!  On my server the 10 eternals will fetch 300G – 350G plus the greens are high level and amount to a stack of infinite dust which is about 80G, possibly more on the right day.  Almost 500G for an hour’s farming is pretty good going.

Here is the obligatory screenshot of my 5K income.  Thankfully the cash for some of my auctions arrived 5 minutes before midnight :)   My next goal if 5K profit in a day.
