That’s characters to level to 80. Nithu has dinged 80, now I just have to level Hulan, Ravenwynd, Élen, Winífred and Primróse! Overall I have to say I’ve enjoyed questing in Northrend, the only zone I don’t like very much is Icecrown. At first I put this down to having a normal speed flying mount but having attained the epic flying skill, I still hate this zone – it’s dark and depressing. For now I have moved to The Storm Peaks and am enjoying myself again. There was much hilarity there this afternoon as I tried to retrieve the toolbox from the middle of the minefield. I was beginning to despair of ever getting it! In the process I earned the Mine Sweeper achievement, a rather dubious honour I suspect, however the upside was that I blew up so many mines as I bounced around the minefield I ended up very close to the toolbox and was able to pick it up and complete the quest.
A huge help whilst levelling has been Jame’s Levelling Guides I have used these for some time now and I think they’re a brilliant resource and, even better, they’re free too (for those of you playing on the other side, there are Horde versions as well). I think the thing I really like about them is that they’re not about cheating or hacking, just very efficient levelling. As someone who always wasted a lot of time running around because I didn’t realise I could complete several quests in the same area I absolutely love them!
Congratulations!
It’s always a giggle when we start new alts together.. he’s done all of the starting areas so often that he could run them blindfolded. So we get our quests, and he’s like.. ok, we’ll do this first because it’s right here with this other one, and then we’ll go over here and here and get these, and two more over there, and then we’ll come back and turn them all in.
I shall pass on the tip about the guides to my hubby, he loves that sort of thing.
Me, I’m more of the.. oh! There’s the guy I turn this in to, I’ll go do that right now, even if I’m going to be coming back four or five times thanks to different quests.
I give him a hard time about it, but it really is efficient!
