Slowly But Surely

Nithu is now level 67. Part of me is tempted to head for Northrend ASAP however I suspect it will be much quicker to get those 3 levels to 70 in Outland. It’s always been the same way at level 58 – head for Outland or quest in Azeroth and arrive there that much stronger? I’ve never touched Hellfire Peninsula before level 60 and Nithu was no exception. I was interested to read Laser Chicken’s post about levelling his DK as I’ve played Nithu the same way. On leaving the start zone I went straight to Ironforge and trained in skinning and herbalism then I headed out the door into Dun Morogh and started levelling those skills. When I had 275 in both I went to HFP and trained them up so that they capped at 375 and then I started questing. Once Nithu hit level 65 I headed straight for Northrend and trained up further – her gathering skills will probably be maxed (or as near as damnit) by the time she starts questing in Northrend.

I also have seen no other DKs mining, skinning or herbing.  As Outland is virtually empty apart from DKs I have had all the herbs to myself.  The amount of ore lying around ungathered would make Primrose cry!  yesterday I saw several different khorium veins and gathered 6 Fel Lotus whilst herbing!  I’ve had no problem selling the leather and herbs I’ve gather on the AH; presumably all those other DKs are power-levelling their crafting skills
